First up were Blind River playing an acoustic set. What an energetic enjoyable set and I can imagine their full electric set to be amazing! Lead singer has a real unique rustic voice, and they got the crowd going and singing along. I have to say I really enjoyed these and will be seeing them again.
City of Thieves next up, a fantastic 3-piece old school heavy rock n roll band. The crowd welcomed them on stage, clearly having seen them before. This was a brilliant lively set. Great vocals, talented musicians who had the crowd well and truly warmed up for the main act.
The main guys arrive on stage – Inglorious with the new band consisting of Dann De LaCruz (lead guitar), Vinnie Colla (bass) and Dan Stevens (rhythm guitar) Rob Lindrop on keys all joined Phil Beaver (drums) and Nathan James on vocals and the first live outings since the release of the third Inglorious album “Ride to Nowhere” (check out our review here). Opening to ‘Where Are You now’ to a loud roar from the crowd. The much anticipated new line up did not disappoint. Following by ‘Taking the Blame’ and then ‘High Flying Gypsy’ saw the band members all taking the limelight at the front of the stage showing confidence and keeping the crowd alive. Nathan chatted to the crowd mid show and looked relaxed and delivered his fantastic vocals as always proving the band to be working really well. All in all a fantastic night – go see these they will not disappoint.
