Two giants of funk rock joining forces to tour the UK? You betcha this is going to be one helluva Christmas party for you all. Joining Extreme for the December UK are jaunt are the welcomely resurrected (see what I did there?) Dan Reed Network to fill your souls with all that is still the best about music – funk, groove, rock and soul.
All cylinders are furiously firing, Dan Reed Network really are back all guns blazing. With the recent release of their critically acclaimed album “Fight Another Day” safely in their pockets, the band have indulged Europe and The States in a fiery return to the touring circuit.
To celebrate their upcoming special guest appearance on EXTREME’S December UK tour, on Monday 31ST July, DRN will premiere the official music video for their single “Infected”.
“DRN is honoured to be touring with EXTREME this December in the UK,” says Dan Reed.
Continues Dan, “The funk rock scene of the late 80’s early 90’s was an exciting, inventive era in the music scene and to be sharing the stage with one of a handful of bands that championed that movement will be nothing but good times on stage for us, and a raucous experience for the audience. This tour promises to be an adrenaline fuelled evening of soaring melodies, infectious grooves and a party atmosphere that we in the band are truly excited about being a part of, and we are tremendously grateful to be on the road with such a talented and innovative band. Time to funk it up big time!”

With Download Festival, Sweden Rocks, Hard Rock Hell, Rockingham and a headline European Tour in early 2017 already under their belts the band have another return to Europe in their sights this December. Heading first to Planet Rockstock in the UK swiftly followed by the HEAT Festival in Germany, a quick romp headlining shows around Europe will then be followed by the band returning to the UK to open for fellow funk rock disciples EXTREME.
Dan Reed Network’s history needs no introduction. On record they have four stunning albums produced by the likes of Bruce Fairbairn and Nile Rogers that have sold nearly 2 million copies.

In the flesh they have a phenomenal live show filled with colour, dynamism, spontaneity and humour that was honed globetrotting with the likes of The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Run DMC Bon Jovi, and UB40. Set lists are regularly abandoned, audience participation encouraged, impulses indulged and everyone in attendance is buckled in and brought along for the ride.

As with their first time around the band are determined to stay at the forefront of creativity showcased by their recent Live Studio Recording Day, which saw 100 fans head into the studio with the Network in order to help them record a brand new single, completely live and then be treated to a one off hour long unplugged session… All of which has been filmed for release. The band are resolute in embracing the way the industry is evolving and will aim to continue to provide immersive experiences for all the Networkers globally.
