Last year, Metallica‘s Kirk Hammett was at San Diego’s Comic Con to perform and promote the band’s ‘Metallica Through the Never’ film. This year, he’ll return to Comic Con to promote his Kirk Von Hammett Toys.
Hammett will be showcasing his Famous Zombies Jr. limited edition toy at this year’s event. The very limited edition green Hammett figure will be available exclusively at Comic Con, with Kirk on hand to sign the toy at the Nuclear Blast Records/Stern Pinball/JSR merch SDCC booth (area 503) on Friday, July 25 from 1-2PM PT and again on Saturday, July 26 from 2-3PM PT.
Fans can purchase tickets starting on Wednesday, July 23 for the Friday appearance, and once Friday’s tickets are sold out, the Saturday tickets will go on sale. Tickets will be available at Nuclear Blast Records/Stern Pinball/JSR merch booth.
“I’m stoked to be bringing more exclusive wares to the San Diego Comic Con,” says Hammett. “Nuclear Blast have been friends for quite some time, so I’m happy to be able to bring one of my exclusives to their booth. Being a fan of comics and movies since I was a kid, it’s just a huge honor to be a Comic Con on both sides, selling and buying!”
Hammett warns those interested in the limited edition green Hammett figure that only 300 of the collectible will be available at Comic-Con.
In related Metallica Comic Con news, bassist Robert Trujillo and Titmouse Animation Studios will bring the animated film ”Tallica Parking Lot’ to San Diego’s Comic Con on July 25. Following the screening, Trujillo and Kirk Hammett will join Titmouse’s Chris Prynoski for a panel.
