THE TREATMENT have been creating a stir in France around the release of their second album, ‘Running With The Dogs’, issued through Spinefarm in February of this year.
As well as picking up ‘Album Of The Month’ reviews in key titles, plus appearing live on ‘L’Enorme TV’, the Cambridge rockers were booked to appear on music TV show ‘Taratata’ – an influential part of French broadcasting since the early ’90s.
The Treatment played two songs – one original (‘I Bleed Rock + Roll’), one cover (AC/DC’s ‘Highway To Hell’) – in front of a live studio audience, and the band’s performance (plus bonus footage) can be viewed / embedded / shared at the following link: http://live.mytaratata.com/emission/taratata-n488
In the wake of the ‘Taratata’ showing – broadcast first online, then on the radio, then on TV (TV5 Monde) – The Treatment have confirmed a headline show at the Bus Palladium in Paris on June 28th; this will be the first time the group have topped a bill in the French capital, having previously played there as part of the Alice Cooper European tour of 2011. This one-off date will be followed by a regional French headline tour in the autumn.
“To visit another country and be part of an established show like ‘Taratata’ was something really special for us. And now we’re going back for headline dates – it just goes to prove the power of rock music. When we struck the first chord to ‘Highway To Hell’, everyone in the studio knew what was coming!” – Matt Jones, The Treatment vocalist
With regard to European festivals, The Treatment now have appearances lined up both at home and abroad, including Rock Am Ring / Rock Im Park (Germany), Download (UK), Rock The Ring (Switzerland) and Graspop (Belgium), all in the month of June.
