Saxon have confirmed that they will play three planned club shows this month, despite the cancellation of the tour they were built around.
Biff Byford and co. had planned to play the club gigs during their UK tour with Motorhead, which had already been postponed from last year as a result of Lemmy’s ongoing health issues.
The tour was officially called off for good last month, with the Motorhead front man admitting he still wasn’t well enough to deal with life on the road.
But Saxon are determined not to let their fans down, and so their shows in Northampton, Buckley and Preston will go ahead.
They’ll play material from latest album Sacrifice alongside a selection of classics in a trio of venues they last visited in 1979 and 1980. The shows will be filmed for possible inclusion in an upcoming documentary, along with footage to be shot at the Homfirth Picturedrome and the Steelhouse Festival in July.
Saxon club show tickets are on sale now. VIP tickets for the Preston gig are valid, but only with a valid entry ticket too.
