Marc Bolan albums Tanx and Zinc Alloy And The Hidden Riders Of Tomorrow have been remastered by original producer Tony Visconti, and they’ll appear in a five-disc set via Demon Music on March 3.
Early pre-orders will be given options including receiving the collection in a tote bag, coloured-vinyl single of Solid Gold Easy Action, digital download voucher and the chance to have the buyer’s name in the hardback book.
The Bolan albums, first released in 1973 and 1974 respectively, come with an additional disc of material, while a DVD includes promo videos and TV appearances.
Meanwhile, Universal are poised to launch deluxe editions of Tyrannosaurus Rex albums A Beard Of Stars (1970) and T.Rex (1971), each with an additional disc of material. Both become available on March 3.
And Bolan-themed theatre show 20th Century Boy: The Musical tours the UK starting in April. It’s endorsed by the late glam icon’s son Rolan, who says: “The music of my father is still treasured by fans and continues to find many more admirers. Through song, laughter and tears, we come together to remember and keep a little of Marc in our hearts.” Find out more.
