Backyard Babies and Michael Monroe guitarist Dregen has confirmed a handful of solo shows in the UK in December. They will be double-headers with Imperial State Electric, Dregen’s former Hellacopters bandmate Nicke Andersson’s current outfit.
Dregen is touring in support of his self-titled debut solo album, due out on Monday via Spinefarm. View his video for lead track Just Like That – which Classic Rock premiered last month – below.
The December shows will be the first time the pair have been on the road together since 1998. Andersson says: “We’re playing in two different bands – but who knows what’ll happen at the end of the night.
I wouldn’t miss it for the world. You shouldn’t either.”
Dregen adds: “Hopefully we can twang a few dusty but golden rock-rings together on stage.”
Meanwhile, Dregen has confirmed that he won’t be part of Monroe’s upcoming tour in support of the singer’s latest album Horns And Halos, saying: “I was part of making two damn good records at the same time. Both are too good not to tour – and neither Michael Monroe or me will disappoint our fans.
“Rich Jones will temporarily fill in for me – try to catch a show with both Dregen and Michael Monroe. They will both rock. And roll.”
