The Cult will perform 1987 album Electric in full on a UK tour in October, they’ve announced.
Shows will include a second set of classics alongside the record that became their first platinum release, which was an early showcase for the talents of producer Rick Rubin.
The tour, named Electric 13, marks the first time The Cult will have delivered the record live, and follows a tour in which they played previous release Love in full.
Frontman Ian Astbury says: “Our life blood has always been playing live. We are between albums and decided to continue the momentum created by Choice Of Weapon, and stay in people’s hearts and minds. Love Live was such an incredible experience – we have decided that performing the Electric album, an event that has been demanded by our fans and followers, is the perfect live set to play in 2013.”
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, May 17.
