Finnish melodic death metal band Children of Bodom have just released a lyric video for the new song ‘Transference.’ Bodom’s next full-length, ‘Halo of Blood,’ is set for release on June 11, but one piece of the upcoming 10-track record is available right now for your head banging pleasure.
‘Halo of Blood’ will be Children of Bodom’s eighth studio album and the band’s follow-up to their 2011 release, ‘Relentless Reckless Forever.’ ‘Transference’ is a true banger of a track, which is heightened as Alexi Laiho‘s words are thrown into the listener’s face throughout the song’s lyric video. In true Bodom fashion, the piece kicks off with a catchy hook which builds into a full-on assault as Laiho brings us into the first verse. The keyboard of Janne Wirman brings an awesome sense of melody to both the verses and the chorus, the latter of which is just too catchy to turn off.
The keyboard and guitars are constantly working together throughout ‘Transference,’ creating a massive duel in the song’s bridge, which mimics the technical and drawn-out style which the musicians of Children of Bodom have perfected for two decades.
“Transference has an evil vibe to it which I wish I knew how to explain because it still gives me chills,” says Laiho. “This is one of our favorite tracks from the new album. Enjoy!”
