Alice In Chains have hinted at the title of their upcoming album by releasing a conundrum to fans.
Instead of revealing the name of the second record to feature William DuVall, they’ve made it available in the form of an anagram:
H V L E N T P S U S D A H I E E O E D T I U R R
Followers are asked to share their decoded messages on Instagram, tagging #AICALBUMTITLE.
Jerry Cantrell and co recently released first single Hollow from the record, which follows up acclaimed comeback release Black Gives Way To Blue in 2009.
Confirming it had been completed last December, Cantrell said: “It’s got all the elements of any record we’ve put out, but it’s unlike any record we’ve put out. Basically, it’s the next chapter in the Alice in Chains book, and it’s going to be a big one.”
Meanwhile, the band have launched their fourth annual charity auction connected with their AIC & Friends fantasy football league.
Items on offer include a double-platinum plaque for Pantera’s Vulgar Display Of Power album, 2012 World Series memorabilia, an autographed Cantrell signature guitar, autographed Duff McKagan bass and more.
Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, who won the league last year, gets to choose the charity to benefit, and has selected The Painted Turtle, which offers innovative camp programmes for seriously ill children.
Bid on the charity auctions via eBay.
