Bon Jovi have confirmed five stadium shows in the UK during the summer of 2013.
They’ll play in Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Sunderland in June plus Glasgow in July – and they’ve insisted some tickets are to be priced at just £12.50.
The Because We Can world tour kicks off in March next year. Bon Jovi will release 12th studio album What About Now around the same time.
Announcing their plans last week, the band said they wanted to “reclaim the title of the essential live rock band.” They’re proud of having led the number-one grossing world tour twice in three years.
Promoter Rob Hallett says the bargain-basement prices were the band’s idea – although the range includes top-end £125 “Diamond Circle” entry. “I was delighted when they came to me insisting on ticket prices that enabled all to attend.
“We need to move away from the elitist image of high prices and even higher secondary prices. Rock’n’roll was and always should be the music of the people – that means everyone.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday morning, November 2.
