Metallica have shared official footage from their appearance at Sonisphere – Getafe Open Air in Madrid, Spain on May 26.
The video, which runs for 15 minutes in length, features the band meeting and greeting fans, shaking hands, sharing hugs, signing autographs on collectibles and interacting with their legion of loyalists, as well as jamming before the show. Of course, the band included footage of their performance of ‘Wherever I May Roam,’ the ultimate tour anthem.
The footage definitely offers an insider’s view of the inner workings of Metallica on a show day. You’ll feel like you are holding the camera while James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich and co. make the rounds and do their thing. The performance is just another added bonus.
Metallica are incredibly generous with behind-the-scenes content, allowing their fans into their world on multiple occasions, since they understand that the Metallica faithful is got them where they are.
They shared similar footage from a gig in Prague recently, as well. There is certainly no shortage of ‘Tallica content, that’s for sure.
