The Cambridge Rock Festival Spring Edition, set to take place this coming weekend, has been cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch (as they say in football circles).
The bill was to have included Jethro Tull’s Martin Barre, Mott The Hoople’s Verden Allen, the Mick Ralphs Blues Band, X-UFO, Karnataka, Solstice, Don Airey And Friends, and many more.
Festival spokesman Dave Roberts explains:
“It is with much regret that I have had to cancel the Cambridge Rock Festival Spring Edition scheduled for Friday, April 27 to Sunday, April 29. This is due to poor ground conditions and the forecast of further bad weather. To keep the ground good for August I have had to make this decision, and to keep the goodwill of the owner.”
Information for ticket holders for the Spring Edition will be posted soon – check the Cambridge Rock Festival website for details.
The main Cambridge Rock Festival scheduled for August 2-5 will still take place.
