The BARBE-Q-BARBIES are exactly what the world needs right now. In a sea of auto-tuned hard rock clones and sunset strip wannabes this Finnish all-girl band is here to set the record straight. Rock is, was, and always will be raw, dirty, and bad to the bone.

Current album “ALL OVER YOU” is full of licks and hits harking back to the glory years of AC/DC, QOTSA, KISS, and MOTÖRHEAD but with an added fuel injection of Helsinki attitude and femme fatale vocals that’s gonna blow your mind. With this the BARBIES have simultaneously created their own style and revitalized the genre.

Live these girls really come into their own. Headline shows up and down country and opening slots for NEW YORK DOLLS, and WASP (to name just a few) have earned them the title of ‘Finland’s 2nd BEST NEWCOMER ACT 2011’ (public poll by Soundi, the biggest rock magazine in Finland) and their shows have earned a reputation as energetic, unpredictable, and uncompromising but always fun and entertaining. For the BARBE-Q-BARBIES the party doesn’t stop. They live and breath rock, punk, sleaze and trash.

After having played some incredible festivals and every whisky soaked club in their home country, it’s now time for them to break out. Their debut album “All Over You” (originally released in Finland in October 2010) is going to be released in the UK and the rest of Europe in June 2012. So girls, lock up your boyfriends, and guys better wear a guard cuz the BARBE-Q-BARBIES are coming to kick the world in the nuts!
