Frances Bean Cobain wants her mother, Courtney Love, banned from Twitter. This follows Love’s tweets earlier this week, when the Hole frontwoman alleged that Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl had made a pass at her daughter.
“While I’m generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn,” 19-year-old Frances said in a statement.
“I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I’m in a monogamous relationship [with rocker Isaiah Silva] and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother.”
Grohl denied the accusations in a statement of his own.
However, Courtney refused to back down, telling the New York Daily News that she was “certainly not going to retract anything”.
As we reported yesterday, Love is also cheesed off with Grohl for allowing Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit to be sung by Kermit The Frog in last year’s Muppets movie – thus sullying the memory of late Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain.
She said: “Unfortunately, Dave is on another Kurt rant, by turning him into a Muppet and hitting on his daughter.”
Love lost legal custody of Frances in 2009.
