You Me At Six have announced that they have been forced to postpone the start of their upcoming UK tour.
In a post online, the band revealed that their Dublin and Belfast dates will be rescheduled due to illness.
In a statement on their website, the band told their fans: “Hey Sixers, we regret to inform you that due to Josh [Franceschi, vocals] having acute tonsillitis, we have to reschedule the Belfast and Dublin dates scheduled to take place this week.”
The band will now play Dublin on April 7, and Belfast on April 8.
Tickets purchased for the original shows will still be valid. Please contact the outlet you purchased your tickets from for any returns.
In a series of tweets, vocalist Josh expressed his disappointment at the news:
“Really sorry Ireland. Tonsillitis is not pretty and I refuse to not give you my very best. Doctor’s orders that I rest up and start the tour in Leicester on Saturday.
I know many of you will be angry, hopefully the rescheduled dates work with all your plans.
I am sorry for the inconvenience. If it makes you feel better at all… we’ll be missing spending Easter with our family and joining our Irish compadres instead. Fingers x’d I’ll be fixed and this won’t affect any more dates.”
